What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
Definitely my images being featured in an article on Galore. All girls team for the shoot, as usual. It was amazing. Jamillah, the model, was in town from Atlanta and the creative director/stylist Margo hit me up urging me that we should work with her. I trust her vision. We had no idea these images were going to be featured on Galore, but we were talking about submitting them to a few magazines. Y’all… divine intervention is real. Such a surreal and amazing opportunity. It was one of those things that I didn’t know I truly wanted until it happened… mostly because, with technology shifting the way we enjoy popular culture, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal to me anymore. But, I think it’s an accomplishment every photographer secretly yearns for.

What would you say makes your business different from the competition in your industry?
Thankfully, I’ve been commended on countless occasions for how hands-on I am when it comes to my work. I actually care to create the best imagery I can for myself and the people I work with because it’s a deep passion of mine. Something I know many people search for in such a saturated market.
What style(s) do you specialize in?
Portrait, fashion, glamour.
How long have you been a photographer?
About 3 years now.
As a photographer where do you see yourself in the next year?
That’s a great, but tough, question. There are so many things that I’d like to accomplish. I see myself traveling abroad, to Europe, and nationally to Los Angeles and New York to work with more models and brands/designers. It’d also be amazing to be published in a major publication, but print this time.
You can pick 1 model and a location you really want to shoot. Who would the model be and where would the shoot be located? What’s your creative process (what the model would wear, your creative process behind the shoot)
Ahhhhh! That’s so hard. Hmm. Definitely Ebonee Davis. She’s such a light. And it would be in Jamaica.
When I’m fully in control of the concept of a shoot, the idea usually comes from somewhere deep in my heart space. An image, or feeling that I need to release. After I decide to externalize that, all it takes is finding the right model, clothing, and location.
